Rough Rider

Jackson has some good friends and recently scored a bike that should
fit him once he grows a few more inches.

As much as I love him loving the bike

it's also the source of frequent meltdowns.
If he sees it and doesn't have it IMMEDIATELY it's a crisis.

He's also taken to driving his car onto my lap.
If I'm on the couch or floor, he thinks he should be on my lap.

My Boyfriend Barfed in my Handbag...

I got this book for Christmas and it's been awesome. Originally I heard the author
(Jolie Kerr) on NPR and was intrigued by her cleaning ideas.

A few weeks ago the fridge started to stink and we couldn't find anything causing the stench. We threw things away but the smell got worse and worse; it was even moving outside of the fridge. Thanks to this awesome book though I was able to easily clean my fridge and get rid of the stench. Who knew black beans could smell so bad?!?

The secret is white vinegar and water. So easy.

Always willing to help

A few months back we bought a very old car for a very good price in the hopes that it could be a storage for the stroller. Although we already knew the trunk was sub-par we thought it would work. Nope.

Scott and my dad spent a Saturday afternoon fixing it.
Jackson knew they needed assistance so after terrorizing a dog in the park
he came over to get to work.

He even had to get into the trunk to really help.

Thanks Jackson, you're a huge help!

New tennis partner

Since I usually refuse to play tennis Scott has had to resort to Jackson.

Thankfully Jackson's a better sport than I am and doesn't mind chasing balls the entire time.

Ad Hoc

For Christmas I gave Scott reservations at Ad Hoc. He really wants to go to French Laundry but I'm not convinced yet so I figured we could work our way up. This restaurant is run by the same chef so it was a good starting point.

We didn't take a picture of every course but they started us with a wedge salad
and then we had some delicious steak and veggies.

The third course was cheese, yum!

And for dessert we had some cookies with butterscotch pudding that was perfect.

It was fun to go somewhere and do something different.
Even Jackson had a good time at home with a babysitter and then Grandma and Grandpa!

Merry Christmas Scott. I love you!

Legal Documents

I found this gem a few weeks ago when cleaning out old books and papers.
We shared a room for 12+ years and sometimes we had to get serious...

And Happy Groundhog's Day!
