Oh where, oh where did the tennis balls go?

Yet another place to add to where to search for missing things:
the crockpot (Scott's keys), the fire engine (puzzle pieces), under the bed (my phone cord),
laundry basket (magazines), bread machine (tennis balls).

The Happiest Place on Earth

Nope, not Disneyland.
My friend told me about this church in Los Gatos that hosts a play morning for kids.
They have millions of toys and activities and it's AMAZING!

As soon as we got there Jackson jumped into the thick of things.
(Quite literally, he initially jumped into a bounce house and rolled all over the place.)

While he loved everything there's no doubt that the train tables were his favorite.

This kid is a train/Chuggington addict.

We attempted some crafts but made a mess more than artwork.

And instead of taking pictures of my kid during singing time I took a picture of the parents taking pictures. This poor generation of kids will be over documented.

After the playtime ended we googled a "park" for lunch.
Sure, this is a park but it wasn't the grassy picnic we envisioned.

Can you believe these cuties are 6 weeks apart? Neither are much above or below average for their age but it's amazing the size difference!

Boys & Dirt

No matter the place or clothing he's wearing, Jackson has a terrific knack of making a huge mess. Seldom is he able to wear anything more than once before it needs a wash.

Biker Dude

I don't know a kid who loves bikes more.
Every time he sees a bike he insists on getting on.

He'll ride it standing

or even leaning against the fence.

When you wake up and see the bike helmet you must put it on immediately and get your jammies off so you can wear real clothes and go on a ride.

And when you help Daddy get ready he MUST put his helmet on as well.

Even if he's only baking bread...

My budding professional

Perhaps a future programmer

or a doctor?

While neither of these photos are very good quality they do describe my day:
Nonsense. All. Day. Long.

Jackson the Builder

Jackson has been a champ while we work on the bed frame.

Perhaps he's also been a bit neglected...

Here's the first and last time I ever want to see a writing utensil near by bed.
Next time there will be some serious punishment.

Even I've worked!

What were we thinking...

So are you wondering where I went last week? No where.
But what did I do? Help build a bed frame.
Are we done yet? No.
Scott's into giving traditional anniversary gifts (so I give the modern) and this year it's wood.

With that in mind we thought we'd build a bed frame.
Since we wanted drawers on the bottom we invited his uncle out who had experience.

Thinking it'd only take 3 days we quickly got to work

and realized it'd take A LOT LONGER.
(especially when Jackson helps like in the above picture)

We worked Friday and Saturday, skipped Sunday and worked again Monday.

Scott went back to work Tuesday but Doug ended up staying until Friday after lunch.

Nope, we're still not done!

So what's this bed we're making?
It's a combo of http://ana-white.com/2010/03/farmhouse-bed-calif-king and http://ana-white.com/2011/09/farmhouse-storage-bed-storage-drawers but made to look like http://ana-white.com/2012/10/farmhouse-bed-drawer-storage

What's the best news? Since we're painting the bed white and the walls are white maybe we will paint the bedroom next!!!!

Easter 2015

I'll be honest: the photos are pretty slim for Easter.
However, perhaps that mean we were having too much fun to stop for photos?!?
Our sous chef helped make French toast for breakfast.
Generally speaking, more ingredients end up on the counter than in the bowl.

After General Conference we went out to Concord to have dinner at my sister's.
It was a grand party with massive amounts of food and lots of people.

We came with Scott's uncle Doug. My parents were there.
My aunt and uncle who live in Concord and their daughter came (so fun to see her!).
Melissa's in-laws were there so they could watch the kids while Melissa and Jake went to Hawaii the next day. Yeah, they're having a terrible time going from beach to beach.

I made this cake and the picture isn't fabulous but it tasted alright.
It was a kind of weird mixture since the cake didn't really need frosting (it was supposed to have a lemon glaze) but I really wanted to try decorating it. Good thing I have family to try it on!

He refuses to be contained

This kid insists on walking his stroller and

his bicycle.
(In truth the bike is a little too big for him. Hopefully one day he'll ride it.)

Paging Dr Lee

Hopefully when he becomes a professional he'll wear a few more clothes...
