Anything can be a changing table for Scott...

Even a shelf at Target.
(Luckily the diaper was fairly clean so he didn't actually change Jackson.)

Nothing but class from this family.

Sometimes the day is boring...

Sometimes we lay on the bed.

Sometimes we watch Saved by the Bell.

Sometimes we're forced to go to the park.

Life's rough.

Live Nativity

This year my good friend told us about a live nativity play put on by a local church.
Seriously, it was amazing.
It was a 30min play where we could follow the story of Christ's birth.
They had an entire city set up with booths where you could smell incense and
do other ancient things that I can't remember now.

After hearing the angel speak to the shepherds, seeing the wise men go looking, and then watching Joseph look for an open room we saw the stable where Christ was born.

It was so cool.

And so cold.

We love living near the Morris'.

Happy SIX months!

You may be wondering why I didn't post the best photos.
I did.

He had his 6 month check-up on Friday (Dec 13):
27.5 in long (80 percentile)
16lb 7oz (27 percentile)
head circumference: 45.8cm (92 percentile)

The doc said he'll probably teeth soon (aka drool even more), eat more solids (aka smellier poop), and perhaps have some stranger anxiety (even if he knows the person).
We have a lot to look forward to!

Jackson is so fun. We love everything about him,
especially sleeping through the night!!!

On the move...

Scott sent me this photo while I was gone one morning.
Jackson started on the blanket but thought the heater might be more fun to play with.
He's getting really good at rolling and is just starting to try to scoot.

Leafmania!

A few weeks ago I really wanted to get into fall with raking leaves.
My parent's house had tons so I figured that could satisfy my needs.
The hardest part was actually finishing...
Before.
(I also raked the neighbor's leaves since it was from our tree.
I won't do that again, it took forever!)

The pile.

Scott was inside during this time watching Jackson, a football game and doing laundry.
He came outside for a photo op but Jackson wasn't thrilled.

One day you'll love this picture Jackson!

And after.
I think I'll wait another year to rake more leaves!

It's time to get a newer place...

We left some rolls out to rise over night and when nothing happened we had to
put them on the heater in the morning.
Lame.

Bedtime antics

Jackson has been getting more and more in control of himself. Lately he has decided to cover our mouths while we put him to sleep. Perhaps he doesn't like our choice of book or song..

Here are pictures from 2 different nights to prove that it happens basically all the time now!

Thanksgiving

While I have older pictures that I'll post soon I decided to just fast forward to Thanksgiving since it just happened and I already uploaded the pictures.

This year we decided to go up to Oregon to visit Scott's extended family. We assumed his immediate family would follow suite but only his sister's family did. We had a great time!
We made a leisurely drive up there with a night in Santa Rosa with my sister and then a night in Ashland with some friends. Monday we drove by Crater Lake and it was stunningly beautiful.

This was actually when we exited Jackson County but the sign was across the street from the Crater Lake one we stopped at.

Jackson's first time in the snow.
He thought it was cold but tasty.

For some reason I was really surprised by the cold weather. I thought it would be a mild 50F so I almost didn't bring my own jacket. Luckily I was packing at the same time as Scott and decided to follow his example. If only I had grabbed Jackson's snow jacket that would have been even smarter!

Scott had lots of Jackson time this week.

Wednesday afternoon we went on a hike.

Fred, Teancum and Alison Eldredge
Scott's sister's family.

Jackson mostly slept through the hike.

I wanted to take a Thanksgiving picture of my turkey but this is how he felt about it.

At least I got his cute bum.

Still not helpful...

Not awesome but the best I could do.

Friday we visited some other friends and their daughter loved Jackson.

Contrary to her upset face she did ask to hold Jackson in his carseat!

I didn't get a picture of the entire Thanksgiving party but we got to spend time with 2 of Scott's aunt's families and it was great. I hadn't really met them since the wedding so it was like meeting them for the first time again. I'm so glad we went to Oregon and that the drive went smoothly. It was such a great week with family.

Stanford Stadium

The last Stanford game was played yesterday but I took some panoramic photos from our seats just to show how great our view was. We were 3 rows from the top and could see everything.

It was fun to go to the games and hang out with our friends but also probably not the best idea with a new baby. We hope that next year Jackson will be a little more predictable and we can leave him with a sitter or something else.

Go Cardinal!
