Quadcoptor Event

On Monday Jackson and I went up to American Canyon with my dad for a Maker Media magazine release. My brother-in-law works for them and has his own quadcoptor. It was pretty fun but not something I know much about. I think the boys had a good time and Jackson liked seeing his cousins.

Hailey was very helpful.

Birthday Wreath

I saw this on Pinterest and made it this week.
It was as easy as advertised but not as cheap.
I'm happy with it though (not so much with this sub-par picture).

Point Lobos

We went to Point Lobos this weekend to look for whales. None were to be found but
we saw quite a few seals and sea lions. It was a quick but fun trip.
Jackson was the cutest kid on the nature hike.

We just loved watching the power of the ocean.

The waves were ferocious and really beating agains the rocks.

Group picture!

Why do we think we can take a nice picture with a tripod and a baby?

We think his shirt says it all.

Jackson's been busy!

Here are some of the recent happenings for Jackson.
Looking stylish in sunglasses.

All tuckered out after too much fun with cousins.

I'd say he likes to read but honestly, he just likes to suck on the books.

He also likes to suck on the table chairs.

He always has his hands out in the stroller.
It's like he's holding on for dear life.

He is rolling a lot lately (almost starting to crawl) and his
favorite spot to roll to is under the table.

And he peed on me one day. I had just showered and gotten dressed when this happened.
Don't worry, it was dry before I left the house!

I made a cake

and it looked nothing like the picture. (http://servingsforsix.com/2013/05/lemon-raspberry-layered-cake/) It was delicious but sort of ugly and pathetic looking.
Sort of like a smashed sandwich.

Where on earth can you buy a white chocolate bar? I could find white chocolate
with fruit pieces but none that were just white chocolate.
Perhaps I should have ground up the chocolate chips...

At least it tasted good!

Happy SEVEN months!

 This kid is seriously impossible!
However, he's also seriously cute.

Post-Christmas

The Bains (my brother) and Spurlocks (my sister) came to Fremont after Christmas.
We missed Laura (my younger sister on a mission in Montana) but loved talking to her!!
The kids made cookies.

I supervised and tried to make sure not to many spoons were double dipped.
A lot of dough was eaten and what got baked was gone within minutes.

We went up to SF to see the Exploratorium's new location.
It was awesome.

One night we went to Christmas Tree lane.
My nephews are from AZ and learning the value of money so they
were fascinated to think that millionaires lived in the homes.

And the highlight of the trip was talking to Laura!!!!
She is doing fantastic and loving Montana.

We also went on a hike in Coyote Hills.
I had bought new shoes yesterday and made the huge mistake of wearing them.
Ouch.

And my next post will be the photos from my brother's camera.

The rest of Christmas

In order to post about Christmas in a timely manner
I just need to do it and finish these last posts!
This house "wrapped" their house for Christmas.
It's the same house with the super huge Halloween pumpkins.
I seriously hope they will decorate for every holiday.

I bought Scott this Tesla jacket and we found a Roadster to take a picture next to.
I am shocked that so many people actually thought we bought the car!

Santa's helper got a little too tired on the walk home.

I also bought Settlers of Catan for Scott and we played 1 game.
I won.

Christmas Day

Christmas was spent at our place and was really nice.

As usual, we forgot how many gift had been purchased over the
past few months and had too many...

Jackson wasn't so sure about the stocking,

An unflattering picture of myself but I'm proudly displaying my stocking.

Trying to open gifts.

Scott's favorite book.
A bit morbid if you ask me.

He's going to be one smart baby!

Too much fun!
