Maker Faire 2012

In May Scott's dad and uncle came up for Maker Faire. It was a quick weekend but so much fun. We're so glad they both came!

On Friday night we had some BBQ at my parent's but I'm not sure who had more fun on the trampoline: Dave or the kids!

Saturday was Maker Faire and yes we did see people driving around in cupcakes and 

in whatever this crazy thing was. And yes, you did have to pay to ride!

A Transformer showed up for the afternoon.

Weird but interesting things abounded.

Rush loved putting legos on the Lego Car.

Who doesn't love loud noises? Rush!

Sunday afternoon the boys went to the top of Hoover Tower while I made some lunch. 

And after lunch we all had a nice nap before everyone went home!

GA visit CA

Back at the beginning of May Laura came out for a quick visit. She found a killer deal and made the plans. It was so fun to have her here. I even got 2 days off to spend at home with her and Melissa's family!

Scott had reading time with the kiddos. Rush spent time reading to Buzz while Scott read to Hailey.

What more do you need than dirt and Grandpa to make a boy happy?

On Monday we met Scott for lunch at Stanford and Rush decided that while he wasn't hungry his monster truck was...

Whenever his shirt is wet Rush holds it off his tummy.

Still holding the shirt off... I'm sure all the students loved having him outside running and yelling. We had a good time at least!

Who better than Grandma to show a little boy how to more efficiently play in the water?

And the star of the weekend?! LAURA!!

Yes, she may live in Atlanta but she is also the favorite.

Tuesday Laura and I washed the cars and we got some help from Rush.

The license plate was spotless!

After so much work who doesn't want a Saltine sandwich!?
