Christmas 2015

Christmas was so fun. We planned to have a quiet one at home but my brother's family decided to drive up for a few days so it turned into a fun-chaotic holiday!

Jackson and Scott worked hard to make a gingerbread train that Grandma Lee sent.
It was so cute of her to do that, Jackson loved it!
Matthew was there as supervisor.

But seriously, does this kid know how to smile?

Apparently he almost does!

Merry Christmas!

We bought them matching jammies and they were adorable.
Scott wanted us to get Christmas (fleece) jammies each year but I talked him into buying ones we could wear all the time. I love them matching!

Fruit snacks are always a win.

Matthew is so smiley!

Jackson LOVED opening gifts.

Then he opened some train stuff and refused to open more gifts.

And look how cute this pillowcase is!
Scott's aunt made it and we love it!
Thanks Aunt Linda!

After opening gifts we headed to my parents for the craziness to begin.
Maren was busy giving manicures.

Jackson worked on riding a bike we found in the dumpster.
(We'll assume the kid got a new bike from Santa.)

Laura kept Matthew entertained with toys and whatever else was fun to grab.

Christmas Eve she was helping Jackson make cookies and it surprised her
when he turned on the mixer a little early...

Lots of time was spent making delicious food in the kitchen.

Scott helped keep babies happy.

I have to give a shout-out to my nephews.
They both got rollerblades for Christmas and had such different approaches for learning.
One was cautious and the other completely fearless.
I was so impressed with their different approaches but similar progress.

The weather was so beautiful!

Matthew always had a friend to hug.

And then we ended things with good old fashion cookie decorating.
