On Labor Day Scott spent most of it working but was able to sneak away early enough to go on a hike. Jackson loved it! He just kept looking and looking at stuff. He should have been tired and slept in the Bjorn but he was too excited looking around.
We just went on an hour hike but we couldn't get back to the car fast enough. For the last 10 minutes Jackson fussed and informed us that he had been hiking long enough.
I think this is a new thing for Scott and I, learning a baby's limits. Before having Jackson and even while being pregnant we'd talk about how "our baby can go on long hikes" and "our baby can stay up late" and whatever else "our baby" can do. Nope, we just need to let that baby sleep so that everyone is happier. Babies are basically the same and just need to sleep and eat all the time. Good thing they're so cute or else it might get boring to have a baby!
