Fort Bragg (Thanksgiving)

After a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt/uncle's house in Concord we followed the Spurlocks home to Santa Rosa and then on Friday continued north to Fort Bragg. It was only 2 hours but man those roads are windy! I was turning pretty green but Hailey beat me to barfing. She must have had a full tummy because there was barf everywhere! So smelly!
Our first stop was Glass Beach and Rushton promptly lost his shirt. If he gets one drop of water on his clothes then they must come off!

What boy doesn't like to look for rocks?!

Putting the rocks back where they go.

No, Hailey. We aren't swimming today.

Looking for more rocks...

Easier to lick them then to find them.

Rushton's little crack evidence of how hard he's working.

OK, just get in the water. You're wet enough anyway that you need a change.

Family pic, sans children's clothing.

We walked out to see the sunset at a lighthouse. The view was beautiful and it was fun to play with my camera settings after taking the photography class.

This shot was taken after the previous but I changed the settings!

Another family picture but more important are the kids faces. While Melissa wasn't looking we let Hailey ride in her strolled unstrapped (apparently Rushton volunteered to strap her in but lacked followthrough) until she went tumbling out and hit her forehead. About the same time Rushton was running with Scott's sweater on and when he fell he couldn't reach out to catch himself. He was also a sad kiddo. Now that it's been a few weeks the scabs have healed but they looked so sad!

Thanks for the fun Spurlocks!

  1. This post of yours is another great candidate for a re-post on my blog. Thanks for all your hard work! It was fun. Rush asked just the other day when we can go camping with Scott and Sesawee again.
