At the end of February there was a Clam Chowder Cook-Off on the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. It was perfect because Scott's friend Kori was visiting a mutual friend in San Francisco so they came down to meet us. The weather ended up being really nice and we had an awesome time. We had no idea there were so many ways to make clam chowder! We decided that we don't like Manhattan style and we want our soup thick and creamy! However, when we went to Myrtle Beach last year we went to a restaurant in Carolina Beach that had the best clam chowder ever. Michael's Seafood Restaurant is worth the drive.
